Last week Robin Smith proved that she will not represent the values of East Tennesseans. She announced that the US Chamber of Commerce endorsed her campaign for Congress, stating that she was “honored” to accept the endorsement. She claimed “With this endorsement there is no longer a question which candidate in the Third District has the support of conservative groups, individuals and advocates of the values that make America great.”

Apparently Robin believes that bank bailouts and amnesty for illegal aliens are the “values that make America great.” Her press release didn’t explain that the Chamber actively lobbied for the $800 Billion Federal Bank Bailout and currently lobbies for illegal alien amnesty.
In October 2008 the President of the Chamber posted a letter titled “Financial Rescue Bill is the Right Answer for America’s Economy.” The letter was referring to and supporting the $800 Billion bank bailout. See the letter at:

The Chamber’s web site also states: “The Chamber will continue to push for comprehensive immigration reform that has an earned pathway to legalization for undocumented workers already contributing to our economy, provided that they are law-abiding and prepared to embrace the obligations and values of our society.”

Amnesty for illegal aliens is often referred to as “immigration reform” with a “pathway to legalization for undocumented workers.” This language is used to hide that amnesty for illegal aliens is the goal. The US Chamber of Commerce also ignores the fact that any illegal aliens currently in the U.S. cannot be “law-abiding.”
Robin’s pride in her Chamber endorsement should serve as notice to all 3rd District Republican voters that Robin Smith in Congress would just be more “politics as usual.” If you want more bank bailouts, please vote for Robin. If you want the Federal government to reward illegal aliens for ignoring the law, please vote for Robin.
However, if you want a Congressional Representative that will uphold his oath and follow the Constitution, please vote for Van Irion in the Republican primary August 5th.

Robin Smith REEKS of poitics as usual and I doubt she even understands the winds of change whirling around her.
She has badly missed the window to grasp what the voters want in this election, and would do best to go back to work for the establishment Neocons.

For God’s sake Mr. President all Americans have had enough of this liberal bull-crap. I do not believe all these individuals could fit into DC, but I do know they all want to stuff their numbers down your throat.
Look at what the people which built the corrupt Luzerne County Pa. are facing here; our property taxes reassessed for 2009 almost doubling and another 15% tax hike again Jan. 2010. Not even a COLA increase for many, many homeowners, we have nothing left but our blood, and you do not want to buy mine because I have had to use government run VA hell-care for 31 years.
